Summary: | During the first administration of President Juan Manuel Santos (August 2010-August 2014) social movements ascended considerably. This paper reconstructs and analyses the dynamics of mobilization. First, the main events are described, then political opportunity structures, mobilizing structures and collective action frames, that support the protest, are studied. The change in the political context, in relation to the government of Álvaro Uribe (2002-2010), created various opportunities and expectations for the protest, which articulated a process of rebuilding mobilizing structures and construction of collective action frames able to articulate various actors.
