Through the analysis of the texts published about the first two films by Kira Muratova, we can specify these approaches. The historical take on cinema considers the film in a chain of events (project, script, censorship, production, shooting, editing, distribution) and a symptom of a hisorical period. The cultural approach studies the film as a cultural manifestation or a cultural object in a given sociocultural context. In our conclusion, we discuss the possibility to merge these approaches with a specifically cinematographic study of films.http://journals.openedition.org/map/1167cinemafilm studiescultural studiessoviet cinemafilm analysisKira Muratova |
