Description
Summary:The headlines of modern electronic newspapers are designed to reflect and convey to the addressee information about events taking place in the world rather quickly and accurately. This fact obliges journalists to present information in the heading as the most frequently read fragment of reporting material in an extremely logical and accurate way. The heading, considered as a special grammatical structure, is distinguished by a variety of syntactic models that are formed in line with the activation of the process of distinction. Purpose. This article is devoted to the analysis of the distinction process occurring in the grammatical structures of modern headlines, which is due to the rapid penetration of colloquial speech into a journalistic form, as well as the action of the laws of the language – economy and analyticism. The subject of the analysis is the headlines in the electronic newspaper Zavtra. The choice of news reporting headings as the research material allows us to analyze in a new way the functions of the syntactic structures of the headings. Method or methodology of the work. The basis of the research is formed by the method of random sampling in the selection of practical material, a descriptive method of linguo-stylistic analysis, as well as a method of quantitative-qualitative analysis. Results. The results of the study showed that journalistic texts, originating in a journalistic book style, are increasingly gravitating toward conversational speech practice. This fact allows us to talk about the desire of grammatical structures acting as headings to the analytical processes of the Russian syntax and activity of the law of economy of speech means. Such processes become quite active and are embodied in a number of types of syntactic models that have their own functional purpose. In order to convey the maximum informative accuracy and capacity of the published material, journalists use segmented structures from a number of dissected structures. In the considered practical material, the selected headings of such constructions are much larger. While connecting models have extreme expressiveness and maximum attractiveness to the addressee. The frequency of presentation of the title in the form of a parcel is much lower than the percentage of segmented designs, which indicates the desire of the journalist, first of all, to convey the ultimate informative accuracy and capacity of the published material. The conciseness of the title, the unusualness of its syntactic structure and the diversity of its syntactic types, create the effect of live communication with the reader and helps to attract the reader’s interest in the article material. This means that dissected structures in the form of segmented, connecting and parcel models, which were previously a sign of colloquial speech, are increasingly getting on the pages of print and electronic newspapers, which indicates the activation of the syntactic process, i.e. distinction. Article text becomes as accurate as possible, concise, not devoid of imagery and emotionality. Practical implications. The results of this study can be used in theoretical and practical courses on the culture of speech and the stylistics of the Russian language, special courses on discourse analysis of modern media texts. Also reflected in further scientific research related to the specifics of representing types of syntactic constructions as headings of printed and electronic Russian newspapers and magazines in order to optimize and increase reader interest in media texts.
