Summary: | This study was conducted to determine Department of Geography Distance Learning students’ approaches towards the thematic courses in Physical Geography field in academic year 2014-2015 Spring semester. 4 Open-ended questions were asked to the students to designate the difficulties and the problems encountered when implementing the online courses. The study which was participated in 66 distance learning students was performed through qualitative analysis technique. The data were analyzed by using descriptive analysis method. At the end of the research, deficiency of map skill development and field work practices were directly related to the Physical Geography field among the problems that the students’ come face to face. Alongside of overcoming these issues, students stated that they
demanded to improve communication with each other and especially the lecturers. |
