Summary: | The aim of this research was to analyze the relationship policies of companies involved in the agribusiness sector
in the Triângulo Mineiro Region with their customers and suppliers and if the traits of the culture of Minas
Gerais State are present, and if so, their importance in this process. The research had a qualitative, exploratory,
approach, the method used was case study method with analysis of documents and electronic form answers.
Four companies were surveyed and the results show their relationship policies are based on business strategies,
observing specifics issues of their position in the agribusiness system, and the culture of Minas Gerais does
not affect these definitions. Nevertheless, in daily interactions cultural traits in commercial relationships were
identified and they are used to adjust activities and relationships. It is suggested that the traits of the culture of
the Minas Gerais State should be observed in the construction of external relations of these companies within a
systemic vision which gives priority to dialogue and adaptation
