The objective of this work was to investigate the approaches to the use of bamboo in postgraduate scientific research in Brazil. To this end, a systematic literature review was carried out in the Industrial Design area, in the CAPES catalog of theses and dissertations and consulted in the Unesp Institutional Repository, based on the following question: how have master and doctorate design researches approached what design and bamboo? After conducting the searches, 22 papers were selected from the CAPES website and 9 papers from the UNESP institutional repository. The identified gaps confirm the authors' hypothesis that although emerging design and bamboo research is scarce in postgraduate design programs in Brazil, and research using the Kerf Bending technique specifically with bamboo is non-existent.https://ojs.sites.ufsc.br/index.php/mixsustentavel/article/view/4451
