Law Between Economic Crisis and Demonstrations: An Interpretation According to Jessop and Innerarity

This article aims to discuss the mismatch between legal knowledge and the sources of power and legitimacy in the contemporary society, departing from the transformations in the political economy appointed by Bob Jessop and in the political system, by Daniel Innerarity. The States transformation, for Jessop, is explained by the processes of denationalization, privatization and internationalization. For Innerarity, it is related to the end of the political system as a conductor of social life. Both phenomena impact legal knowledge and practice. From the standpoint presented by Faria, this article reviews nine tendencies for contemporary law, between economic and political crises, explaining the consequences of conjunctural analysis for legal framework.
