Description
Summary:The restorers in charge of the lusters of the Grande Synagogue in Paris are facing many difficulties : not only do these large metal objects present surface disorders, but also they must be kept in working order and they require high scaffoldings. The debate over the aim of any restoration work is most relevant and widespread, but dealing with how to re-use historical items means calling for specific workers. Issues of deontology, safety, liturgy, accessibility, are thus permanent topics between restorers and people responsible for the works.
