To answer these questions an achievement test was constructed to include (40) multiple-choice items. These items were distributed on four aspects as follows: information technology(8 items), medical and genetic engineering (11 items), environment and environmental pollution (10 items), and energy and industrial technology (11 items). Validity was confirmed by a jury committee, and the ruder- Richardson-20 formula was used to Compute the reliability, which was (0.88) . A sample of (415) students (boys and girls) who were cluster randomly selected from the tenth graders in the schools of Bani Kananah Directorate of Education in Irbid District. The results of the study showed that the level of the cognitive aspect of the TL for the BTG was average, and there was significant difference (a ≤ 0.05) in the level of the cognitive aspect of the TL according to the sex factor, and in favor of the girls. Also, results showed significant differences (a ≤ 0.05) in the level of the cognitive aspect according to the level of achievement and in favor of the above average students. In addition, results showed significant differences (a ≤ 0.05) in the level of the cognitive aspect of the IL for the BIG according to the derived items from curriculum. According to the findings of the research, the study recommended that the Ministry of Education and the curriculum authors should take into consideration the cognitive aspects of the TL and give them more importance when preparing the curriculum. The study also recommended that more research is to be carried out on samples in different Directorates of Education, and on different grades other than the tenth graders. Moreover, other factors related to the social and environmental aspects can be added to the research. In addition, it is recommended that schools should give more attention to activities that deal with the TL in an attractive way for students and particularly for boys.http://jes.ksu.edu.sa/sites/jes.ksu.edu.sa/files/0017-01-05.pdfCognitiveAspect TechnologicalLiteracyTenth GradersIrbidJordan
