Summary: | The article analyzes the performance indicators of the investment and construction sector in the Russian Federation in the conditions of the crisis, the main trends of development of this sphere in the period from 2008 to 2016 in the projects of construction of residential and commercial real estate are considered. It was noted that during this period there has been a significant growth in construction and commissioning of buildings, while consumer demand for both residential and commercial real estate is declining. Also considered are the main participants of the housing construction market, analyzed the specifics of mortgage lending in this period. Among the negative prospects for the development of the industry, a reduction in the volume of input, freezing or reformatting of projects was noted.
