Democratic Freedom and the Concept of Freedom in Plato and Aristotle
Among the several meanings of <em>eleutheria</em> used by Greeks in the classical period, democratic freedom is rejected by both Plato and Aristotle, who do not articulate a theory of political freedom but rather confine <em>eleutheria</em> to a social context.
