Summary:The article studies emotional intelligence features of future teachers of physical education. To achieve the goal questionnaire of emotional competence by N. Shutte et al. SSRI, appropriate for measuring four indicators of emotional intelligence was used. Students’ selection included 309 future teachers of physical education. The results showed that women understand emotions better than men, but men are better at emotions modulating. No statistically significant differences between men and women in ability to emotionally assist the brainwork and identify emotions were detected
