This study has been conducted to study perceptions of patients with CAD about their treatment regimen in selected hospitals of Tabriz, 1385.   Material and Method: In this analytical study, 160 patients with CAD, who had been admitted to medical and surgical wards of selected hospitals in Tabriz with at least one episode of hospitalization, were selected randomly. A questionnaire was used for gathering demographic data, health beliefs and perception of aptitude to catch disease complications, advantage and disadvantage of admission treatment regime, and individual attitude about patients’ health. The questionnaire with acceptable reliability and validity was completed through interview. Descriptive and inferential statistics such as Pearson and Spearman coefficients, independent T-test, Freedman and ANOVA were used to analyze the data.   Results: Research findings showed that the patients' mean score on perception about treatment regime were 42.60. There were statistically significant correlations between perceptions of patients with CAD and their health beliefs, but, there were no statistical significant correlation between demographic data and perception of patients with CAD .   Conclusion: Regarding patients' perception of, these patients require intensive educational programs. For this reason, nurses could evaluate information needs of patients and teach them about adequate self-care techniques to control side effects and complications of CAD, to recognize clinical manifestations and prevent CAD recurrence.http://ijn.iums.ac.ir/article-1-769-en.htmlcoronary artery disease - therapeutic regimen – perception
