Summary: | In the light of contemporary socio-demographic changes and humanistic ideas, the issues of aging and old age gain noteworthy significance. Everyone, especially the elderly, should be treated subjectively due to the consequences of the aging process. Taking into account the sense of the quality of life of an elderly person becomes a priority task and challenge for social environments in which the senior lives. This problem seems to be interesting, especially from the pedagogical point of view in the context of improvement, development, self-creation, and accomplishment. Research on the quality of life of seniors is widely popular among Polish and foreign authors. It results from the thoroughly represented science by researchers and their cognitive interests. The results of those studies should be updated and disseminated to increase the meaning and quality of human life. The article is a review of selected pedagogical concepts regarding the sense of the quality of life among elderly people and conducted research on the topic.
