Summary:Hid┐ yah is not only the most authentic and the most popular book of ╓ anaf┘ school of thought, but an incomparable treasure of the science of Islamic jurisprudence and legal maxims. The writer has not only derived from the authentic and valid sources of ╓ anaf┘ school of thought, but also from most of the principles of the science of jurisprudence and has given arguments from about 426 legal maxims of Islamic jurisprudence. The method of Ta‘leel has been opted in the process of deduction from these principles and maxims and in the text, it has been mentioned as argument as per the requirement of the context. Similarly a unique and special style has been adopted in derivation from these maxims The given article discovers and explains this specialty of Hid┐ yah, so that the readers of Hid┐ yah may take maximum benefit from the technique of solving hundred of problems in the light of the single principle or maxim.
