The excessive use of fossil fuels that meet human needs only by 2300, there is a growing need for alternative and new energy sources. Fossil fuels have two major problems; it is going to finish and releasing various kinds of greenhouse gases, which, in contrast to one of the most important advantages of renewable energy, that they are clean. Among all the renewable energies, solar energy is one of the most widely used renewable energies that has a huge potential for its use in different forms in Iran and the world. With the advent of technology and lower prices, the use of solar energy is becoming more and more affordable. In this paper, by studying the population growth and consumption of different types of fossil fuels in the world and its prediction by 2030, and the study of the properties of solar energy and the trend of its use in the world, it is predicted that by 2030, the amount of electricity generated from renewable sources reaches to 10,200 billion kilowatt hours.
