Description
Summary:This study aims to analyze the Scholarship Athlete from its coverage, as well as the configuration of their funding and spending, comparing these data with the main achievements in the Olympic Games of Beijing 2008, London 2012 and Rio de Janeiro, 2016. The research is characterized as quantitative, qualitative and documentary nature. Data were collected from the following sources: a) Transparency Portal of the Federal Government; b) list of athletes benefited in the Official Gazette; c) Data ME management reports and COB; d) site of the Olympic Games in Beijing, London and Rio de Janeiro. As a result, it was realized that the investment program is carried out on ready-made athletes; and yet this situation has generated poor results in the historical evolution of the Brazilian delegation in the last three Olympic Games.
