| Summary: | The purpose of this study is to understand the daily life of the catraieiros who work
in the river urban mobility of the catraias, in the Xidarini Basin, in the city of Tefé -
AM. In this sense, the catraia is the main modal used in the crossing of people and
vehicles in the city of Tefé, mainly in the coming and going of the center of the city
to the district of the Abial and vice versa. The study starts with analyzing the daily
life, the mobility of the catraias and the labor relations, adopting bibliographical
research and field research as methodological procedures that will lead to an
understanding of reality and the world of work. In the first moment of this study, we
will approach the dynamics of the coming and going, positivities, negativities and
difficulties of this modal. Soon after, we will describe the daily routine of the
catraieiros. Finally, we will deal with trade union problems and the precariousness
of labor.
