| Summary: | If there is a poetry that has marked the spirits in the Luso-African space, it is that of Noémia de Sousa (Sangue negro), José Craveirinha (Xigubo, Karingana ua Karingana) and Agostinho Neto (Sagrada esperança). Indeed, these poets have made a decisive contribution to the process of awakening the consciences of the Lusophone colonies in Africa and consolidating their aspiration to freedom. In addition, they participated, through their pen, in the radical challenge to the established colonial order and paved a path for the liberation of Angola and Mozambique. The purpose of this article is to try to understand the commitment of these intellectuals who have become, through poetry, both the flag bearers of their country and freedom fighters. |
