Summary: | Numerous studies dealing with children, victims of violence, show that children are often multiple abused, and statistics also point to the significant presence of child abuse and neglect worldwide. Violence against children is becoming a growing problem in Bosnia and Herzegovina, but also a global problem because it existed and unfortunately still exists in every country in the world, in all cultures and classes, regardless of the origin and level of education. Throughout history, various forms of exploitation and abuse of children are recorded, both from milder, physical punishments, and to those of the cruel ones, which result in the child's death. UN studies define violence against children in accordance with Article 19 of the Convention on the Rights of the Child as all forms of physical or mental violence, injuries and abuse, neglect or neglect, maltreatment or exploitation, including sexual assault, social security of the child, abuse endangering the psychological and physical integrity of the child's personality and the attack on his individuality and specialty. |
