Summary: | Employee Assistance Programs (EAP) are initiatives that were established in the USA with the aim of solving the personal issues of employees who have alcoholism problems. The basis behind this act is to win the problematic but experienced personnel back through professional care. As the range of EAPs widen within years, these programs started to be adopted by other countries as well. In this study, literature about the definition, procedures, coverage areas and the evaluation of EAPs is analysed. The very recent developments in Turkey, on this subject which has no resources in Turkish, are examined and suggestions for the future are presented. |
