Summary:This article discusses the Gender Equity Policy in Colombia, recounts the policy from 1990-2014, starting with a conceptual and theoretical framework, presenting the foundations of what will be the article in its entirety; secondly, analyses policies, decrees, laws, etc. that have been formulated on gender and gender equity in the country during this period of time; and finally, a relationship between a sort of Development Plans and the approach given to gender issues is made. The purpose of this article is to evidence the consistence of the policy over the years and to provide the reader a critical view towards this subject.
