Summary:The review is devoted to experiential approaches in psychotherapy. The analysis of history and logic of their occurrence is carried out. E. Gendlin's approach and process¬experiential psychotherapy of L. Rice, L. Grinberg, R. Elliott, etc — their basic theoretical principles and methods — are viewed. The purpose of this article is to introduce little¬known in Russia, but gaining popularity and credibility abroad approaches, and to show them as the examples of the integrative trend in modern humanistic psychotherapy. The development of theoretical concepts and practical elaboration of psychotechnical unit of subject and method of these approaches — the experience and the empathy — are analyzed. Attention is given to their com¬parison with Russian experiential approach — co¬experiencing psychotherapy of F.E. Vasilyuk.
