Summary: | Today's 21st century is called the communication age and the power of communication becomes effective with
technology. Digital communication and social media, which are the new method of living in the communication age and reaching the public in local governments, have taken place in the communication strategy as a
technological necessity and are used as the fastest communication model of local governments. The studies on
the digital communication and social media, which are frequently used by public institutions and their impact
on the public in terms of communication strategies, and their effect on easy access, have been made.
Municipalities have frequently used communication tools in order to provide one-way or two-way
communication via digital communication and social media, and aimed to create corporate perception,
corporate memory and make ethnic announcements. The municipalities need to use the whole area of digital
communication and social media in order to publicize, show and promote the process of the work carried out
by the local government, the public, the community, the community related to the service, and to support them
by creating a positive perception. In the communication strategies of local governments, the effects of digital
communication and social media in local governments were examined, their applications were examined and
how managers were directed to the public with this vision perspective was examined. |
