Summary: | Our paper aims to present the results of a mise en abyme of classroom interactions. This method resorts to video-stimulated recall with students whose recoded comments on the class interactions and their teacher’s practices are then viewed and commented on by their instructor. The results show how the method helps the teacher become aware of a discrepancy between her pedagogical intentions and the reception by the students. This ignitiates a process of deconstruction-reconstruction of her professional image thanks to the students’ often powerful advice. |
