With the decline of this boom the source of inspiration is found beyond the Island by many authors, among them the controversial Ena Lucia Portela. This is particularly evident in her novel Djuna y Daniel, set in the Bohemian and intellectual Paris of 1920-1940 , in which various features of Portela’s literary aesthetic –transgression, “rare” characters, erudition, homoeroticism, irony, exclusion– are shown. The novel deals with a period of the life of the American writer Djuna Barnes and the Bohemian and intellectual entourage of the Quartier Latin in Paris.
https://revistes.uab.cat/mitologias/article/view/189ena lucía portelaespacioliteraturamujerparíspersonajetransgresión
