Summary:The expansion of availability and openness of the educational system, improvement of the institutions of the state management and self-governing with the general education institutions requires teachers of the new generation who comply the demands of the new informational society on the level of professional qualification and IT competence and as a consequence of new approaches to the system of further training. That is achieved, amongst others, by the developing of the new programmes in continuing education, including learning to use information and telecommunication technologies.
