Summary:Nowadays design of a modern Naval military force structure is a complicated process and can be modeled as a project selection problem. In this study, Analytical Hierarchy Process is used for determining the submarine types which are the most requiried in Submarine Fleet. The objective is to develop a flexible and practical R&D project selection methodology that can be used by Turkish Naval Force managers. Considering criterias in selecting submarines are determined by a working group that is consist of 5 personnel in submarine and surface ship in relation with Anti-Submarine Warfare branch. After that, this criterias are evaluated for submarine types by working group and appropriate submarine selection process is evaluated by using AHP.
