Debate sobre os fundamentos do conservadorismo

The debate proposed here is part of a concern assumed in previous studies about the impact of the conservative shift on social work and it is inspired by Josep Baqués’s study, El liberalismo-conservador: Fundamentos teóricos y recetario político ss. XVIII-XX. Based on Baqués’s contribution, this article presents a comparative analysis of the notions of ideology – a recurring aspect in critical reflections in studies and research on the foundations of conservatism. The search for an understanding of the metamorphoses of this form of social thought in different historical contexts is confirmed by Baqués’ work, which identifies a tendency for conservarism to move closer to liberalism.
