The pharmacokinetics, spectrum of activity, the problem of resistant bacteria and clinical aspects, as well as recommendations on the use are considered. Azithromycin is recommended as an antibiotic of choice for empirical therapy and selective therapy of major bacterial pathogens of acute intestinal infections in children, for etiotropic treatment of whooping cough, with Lyme disease and for long-term immunomodulatory therapy of cystic fibrosis.http://ai.zaslavsky.com.ua/article/view/131089azithromycininfectionstreatment
