КиївObjectives of the article are determined by the fact that the author seeks to study the most important stages of both formulation and formulation of the fundamental parameters of the phenomenon of reincarnation in religion, historical features of comprehension of the essence of this phenomenon, its manifestation in the realities of modern life. Research methodology. The original methodological principles of research are the dialectical principles of historicism, objectivity and comprehensiveness of consideration. An important methodological benchmark for the problem analysis is the comparative historical method by which the concept of reincarnation is analyzed in the context of the genesis of religious models of culture. Conclusions. The formation of the phenomenon of reincarnation in religion dates back to the period of development of the primary society, in which religion, art and morality arises, and where the foundations for the future of differentiated and professionally formed spiritual activities, in which one way or another the phenomenon of reincarnation manifested itself, laid the foundations. The further development of the phenomenon of reincarnation in religion acquired in the ancient Egyptian religion. More developed forms of the phenomenon of reincarnation gained in the religions of Ancient India — in Hinduism and Buddhism. The novelty of the study is to clarify the specific features of manifestation of the concept of reincarnation in the context of the genesis of religious models of culture. Practical meaning. The obtained results can be used in the development of appropriate training courses, further scientific developments on the identified issues.
