D. studies in Pedagogy in Cuba. Bibliometric tools were used to analyze a sample of 139 dissertations reports corresponding to the 2005-2013 period in two geographical regions. The findings correlate the reports bibliographies to the book selection Chávez, Deler and Suárez (2009) has regarded as “suitable texts to meet our needs and idiosyncrasy”, this relation is taken as a basis of comparison and expression of the best titles published in pedagogy during the first decade of the 21st century.
