Summary: | The article addressed the technological problem occurring in the RD-33 turbine engine on the kinematic pair between the accessory gearbox (AGB) and fuel regulator pump HP-59A (Polish: NR-59A). In the beginning, examples of operational problems were described. Then, the power balance for the accessory gearbox and strength calculations of gear and splines of a critical pair were presented. It was demonstrated that gear made from an original material complies with strength criteria and the observed operational problems with splines are created by other factors. |
