This article analyzes minors’ level of assimilation and social integration; consequently, it is limited to knowing the views of those who, along with their families, have settled in Tijuana, Nogales and Ciudad Juarez. The Survey on transnational families, education and employment was conducted, which was complemented with interviews with migrant minors. It was a case study and not about a statistically representative population. This paper provides information which leads to the understanding of the return migration to Mexico phenomenon. It shows that social interaction among minors is weak, as well as their pessimism concerning the working future; their main purpose is to return to the United States.https://regionysociedad.colson.edu.mx:8086/index.php/rys/article/view/253/1043return migration; transnational family; migrant minors; social integration; cultural adaptation; families; family relationships; Tijuana; Nogalesreturn migrationtransnational familymigrant minorssocial integrationcultural adaptationfamiliesfamily relationshipsTijuanaNogalesCiudad Juárez
