Trafficking in human beings is the most profitable business, immediately behind drug trafficking. The dark figure in this type of crime is very high, and trafficking in human beings is not a problem for a country, but for the entire international community. For this reason, at the United Nations level, a number of Conventions have been adopted aimed at preventing and combating trafficking in human beings. Factors that lead to trafficking in women are different, ranging from poverty, corruption, domestic violence, sexual violence, hopes for a better life.
