This phenomenal has moved researchers into action inlooking for new remedies «antioxidants». In this context, the study of the antioxidant activity of methanolic extracts of two plants, Artemisia campestris L. and Spitzelia coronopifolia Desf., used in Algerian pharmacopoeia has been performed. The extracts from these plants were obtained after soaking in 70% methanol for 48 H at room temperature (25 ° C), followed by filtration on Wattman 3 mm paper and evaporated in a rotary evaporator. The powder thus obtained allowed us to perform our phytochemical test and antioxidants. The phytochemical screening revealed that A. campertris and S. coronopifolia contain many secondary metabolites. The quantitative estimation of some this compounds showed that the highest phenolics, flavonoids and condensed tannins concentrations was found in A. campertris. The evaluation of antioxidant capacity by the method of free radical scavenging test showed that plant extracts have a good reductive activity, especially for A. campertris extract which presented an IC50 estimated to 43.2±10.5μg/ mL. https://drive.google.com/file/d/1WWvf1kmTY8efnRh6PwkiOm9KfxAcyO5g/view?usp=sharing
