Summary:In Colombia five species of the snake genera Imantodes are currently registered, four of which have records in the tropical rainforests of the Pacific region. Recently, Imantodes chocoensis was registered for Colombia, with two records from the department of Valle del Cauca. Here, based on the finding of an individual of this species in the San Cipriano-Escalerete Forestal Reserve, in December 2008, we provide a new record of this species for Colombia.
