| Summary: | The different institutional conceptions existing in the MERCOSUR and the European Union imply that administrative actors such as career diplomats in the case of Argentine and France respectively, must consider their career paths taking into account policies related to regional integration of their respective blocks process. Based on the vast literature dealing with the diplomatic corps in France, this paper presents a first comparison between the French and Argentine diplomats in order to reflect the role of these professional groups in the construction of regional or community policies, respectively. |
