Inicialmente, aponta-se a descri&ccedil;&atilde;o da cena contida no Escudo de Aquiles, como retrato da realidade do momento em que foi elaborado o ideal de S&oacute;lon. Ap&oacute;s, o pensamento de S&oacute;lon, baseado primordialmente na edi&ccedil;&atilde;o de leis escritas e vinculantes a todos os cidad&atilde;os gregos, &eacute; explicado, ressaltando-se a evolu&ccedil;&atilde;o da ideia de justi&ccedil;a por meio da diferencia&ccedil;&atilde;o entre themis e dike. Por fim, ao tratar da solu&ccedil;&atilde;o sugerida por S&oacute;lon para o desequil&iacute;brio da sociedade da Gr&eacute;cia Antiga, demonstra-se a sua rela&ccedil;&atilde;o com a democracia, inclusive quanto aos dias atuais.<br /><br />PALAVRAS-CHAVE: Gr&eacute;cia Antiga. Democracia.<br /><br />ABSTRACT: This article is about the ideal of Law developed by Solon in Classical Greece and its influence to the democracy of that time, as well as its relation with the current conceiving. Initially, the description of Aquiles&rsquo; Shield is approached as the representation of the moment of Solon&rsquo;s ideal elaboration. Afterwards, Solon&rsquo;s thought, based primarily on the edition of written laws, which should be applied to every Greek citizen, is explained, with special emphasis to the evolution of the ideia of justice through the differentiation between themis and dike. At last, based on the solution brought by Solon to the unbalance of the Classical Greece society, its relation with the democracy is demonstrated, even nowadays.<br /><br />KEYWORDS: Classical Greece.
