Description
Summary:Sustainable development considers as a central axis the set of external physical, chemical, and biological components with which the living beings interact and which, with respect to the human being, comprises the set of natural, social and cultural factors existing in a place and in a determined moment that influence life and will affect future generations. Advances in Nanosciences and Nanotechnologies in general, and the increasing use of nanomaterials in various consumer products in particular, have allowed for specific applications for the care and preservation of the environment, raising worldwide interest in large sectors of the society on its social and environmental implications, which belongs to the field of the relationship between Nanosciences, Nanotechnologies and Bioethics. The analysis of this relationship and how the Dissemination and Training of Nanosciences and Nanotechnologies can contribute to sustainable development is the main objective of the present paper.
