Commentary on the recent movement for the legal ban on the use of animals in circuses in Mexico.

In recent months circuses with animals have been forbidden in Mexico and have raised an important debate in this country - both in favor or against this ban - and also at the international level. This commentary indicates those States which have prohibited the use of animals in circuses in their whole territory, and also those Municipalities of the Federative Entities which have approved a legislation that bans this kind of spectacles. The author of the document describes how this movement started and write down some of the arguments used as the basis for this prohibition. A brief description about the current situation in this Country after banning the use of animals in circuses, as well as commentaries from businesses are also included in this commentary, which ends emphasizing the main targets that must be considered when planning to prohibit the use of animals in circuses.
