The paper assesses the opportunities, prospects and risks of using the positive experience of the formation and functioning of the executive branch abroad. The authors prove that in the process of optimizing the executive power system in the Russian Federation, it is necessary to use foreign positive experience in the formation and functioning of government bodies (executive power).
