Description
Summary:In the article presents an attempt of making a comparative description of the culturological concept of water in Ukrainian, Bulgarian and Russian dialects of the Danube region on the basis of analysis of linear dialect and folklore texts of ceremonial subjects is undertaken. The semantic structure of the concept is represented by such values as “liquid”, “pure (saint) water”, “living water”, “dead water”, “deep water”. In folklore texts, especially in wedding songs about love, about maiden destiny, semantic functionts of this concept are observed also at other lexemes, which denote the water space, for example, river, sea, well, Danube, ford, pond, rain, dew, etc. Water as a conceptual symbol indicates the corresponding ceremonial ritual element.
