‘Most likely to succeed’: Degree Adverbs Specifying Probability in Classical Greek
<p>Several degree adverbs can express an assessment of probability and so function as attitudinal disjuncts, as is illustrated (especially in Thucydides) by examples using μάλιστα, ἥκιστα, μᾶλλον, and others.</p>
