Description
Summary:The large solid angle magnetic spectrometers, in combination with large gamma arrays, allowed to perform reaction mechanism and nuclear structure studies in different regions of the nuclear chart, especially in the neutron-rich direction. By studying transfer of multiple pairs valuable information on nucleon-nucleon correlations can be derived, especially from measurements performed below the Coulomb barrier. There is growing interest in the study of the properties of the heavy binary partner, in the Pb and in the actinides regions, crucial also for astrophysics.
