TO THE PROBLEM OF WASHING FLYING MODERATELY LARGE AEROSOL PARTICLES BY EVAPORATING DROPS WITH REYNOLDS AND PECLET NUMBERS MUCH LESS THAN UNITY

The paper studies the washing of moderately large evaporative aerosol drops from the atmosphere. The time for complete purification of a given volume from aerosol particles is calculated. A graph of the dependence of the cleaning time on the droplet radius is plotted. It is shown that there exists a...

Description
Summary:The paper studies the washing of moderately large evaporative aerosol drops from the atmosphere. The time for complete purification of a given volume from aerosol particles is calculated. A graph of the dependence of the cleaning time on the droplet radius is plotted. It is shown that there exists a radius of drops at which the cleaning time is minimal. The dependence of the time of complete purification on the evaporation coefficient of droplets is found.
