LIMINAL FORMS OF THE RITUAL: FROM RELIGIOUS CONSCIOUSNESS TO RELIGIOUS EXPERIENCE

The ritual phenomenon understood as a basis of religious activity is considered in the article. As the basic theory the symbolical theory of ritual of the anthropologist V. Turner is offered. Having accented ritual versatile conditions of public life, its mechanism by means of introduction of such concepts-forms as a communitas and a liminality are explained. Special attention is paid to liminal forms of rituals – the forms of “condition of transition“, “threshold”. It is fixed that arising during the public or religious crisis, liminal forms endure their advancement, and then either leave the arena of history, or stay depicted in it, broadcasted and cultivated by its carriers. The methodology of the article is presented by textual, conceptual and phenomenological analysis. As a result, the duality of religious activity is expressed in two forms of ritual: structural and communitarism; liminalities act as religious vanguard, thus remaining distanced from it; the accumulated spiritual experience of liminality extends in egalitarian (the communitary environment) by direct communication, in the structure’s society – in a generalized theoretical look. The results of the research can be used in the textual, conceptual and comparative analysis. The practical value of the given research consists of a possible inclusion of results of the research in lecture and seminar classes in philosophy, religious studies, anthropology and theology.
