Summary: | Development of speech self dependence is the necessary condition for the formation of communicative competence in the process of school instruction in foreign languages.
Self dependence, as the innate property of a personality, which is manifested in the ability to set as a goal and to accomplish the actions, directed toward achieving this goal, is the basis of the formation of speech self dependence under the school conditions in the adequate self-appraisal and the responsibility for its activity.
In the foreign language teaching methods the speech self dependence is considered as an important component of foreign language speaking activity, which assumes the presence of personal initiative in the speech behavior, the readiness to enter into the contact for the solution of communicative problems.
The special feature of contemporary development stage of the speech self dependence of students becomes its formation at the metacognitive level, which assumes self dependence not only in search and mastering of information, but also self dependence in its use in the speech practice.
Foreign language speech self dependence is formed in the process of the development of communicative competence at the lessons of foreign language and is subject to improvement during entire process of instruction under the control and direct participation of a teacher. |
