Description
Summary:There was carried out a comparative comprehensive clinical-immunologic and microbiologic examination of 30 children with acute pharyngitis aged from 8 to 14 years using Lizak and Happylor, troche and oral spray, produced by «Farmak» (Ukraine), as a local therapy in 20 children (study group) and the use of spray based on sulfanilamide in 10 children (control group). The study showed Lizak and Happylor to have a good tolerance, greater clinical effectiveness, as evidenced by a decrease in bacterial contamination by pathogenic bacteria and fungi in the study group. Determination of local immunity indices in the oropharyngeal secretions of patients showed greater efficacy of Happylor and Lizak in terms of stimulation of secretory IgA production compared with the control group.
