Description
Summary:This study aims at evaluating the knowledge about Sustainability of students from a Business Management course of a private university of São Paulo and the influence of such knowledge in their attitudes, behaviors and sustainable consumption. The research is quantitative (survey) and it was developed with the students of the course of Business Management of a private university of São Paulo. Based on the responses of 131 students, it was verified, through the Structural Equation Modeling (SEM), that there is an influence between the knowledge about Sustainability in the students' attitudes, behavior and consumption; however, the influence of attitudes on consumption was not confirmed. In the researched course, the theme Sustainability has been approached, but not in a specific discipline, in a fragmented way, in several disciplines. This research contributes to both academic community and society, as well as other public or private universities to improve the Pedagogical Course Project (PCP). This study aims at transforming sustainable attitudes into sustainable behaviors and practices of students, acting as citizens.
